I'm taking advantage of the summer by raiding my Dad's Dylan collection, and I discovered two great albums: Infidels and Planet Waves. Unfortunately, I've already heard or own everything else he has.

These Dylan discoveries have got me in the mood to seek new albums out. Below are the ones I haven't heard. Any suggestions as to what should be next?

Good as I've been to You
Under the Red Sky
Down in the Groove
Saved
Shot of Love
Street Legal
Dylan

I'm leaning towards 'Street Legal', just because it's so contreversial among Dylan fans. On the other hand, I want to try 'Saved' or 'Shot of Love', because I loved 'Slow Train Coming'.

Suggestions?

listen to everything else before you listen to under the red sky, down in the groove and shot of love.

it's good, but then you think, "maybe this sandwich would be better if it wasn't covered in chocolate"

Street Legal! Awesome stuff.

Then Good As I Been To You. Folky stuff.

Saved is in my opinion his worst album.

Street Legal is my favorite of these, but Shot of Love is a very close second. If you liked Slow Train I think you'll enjoy a lot of Shot of Love, it's less judgemental and Every Grain of Sand is one of my top ten Dylan songs of all time. Dylan is not really a full album, it's mostly a bunch of outtakes. Saved has some good things, but it's the least of the three religious albums. Down in the Groove has some good songs, but the two worst, and I say that as a Dylan worst, are Good as I Been to You, and Under the Red Sky, the latter, one I have only listened to fully once.

I may have weird tastes however.
